Sensitive Information

Raw selfie images, selfie notes, health-related observations, routine details, stress details, names of third parties, crisis language, and reminder patterns can be sensitive. Mirror Health is designed to collect less, store less, send less, and log less.

If we process sensitive personal information, we use it to provide the features you request, protect safety, secure the service, comply with law, or support user controls. We do not use sensitive information to infer unrelated characteristics about you, sell data, or pressure you to buy.

How We Use Information

  • Provide selfie check-in, wellness chat, reminder, and personalization features.
  • Generate AI-assisted responses and apply safety routing.
  • Maintain subscriptions, entitlements, and purchase restoration.
  • Respond to support requests and legal requests.
  • Measure reliability and coarse product usage without raw selfie images or freeform wellness notes.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, security incidents, and misuse.
  • Comply with law and enforce the Terms.

AI-Assisted Features

When you choose to use AI-assisted selfie check-in, wellness tip, or chat features, Mirror Health may send your relevant input, selected preferences, and recent context needed for the response to an AI service provider. Mirror Health is designed not to send private internal material, unnecessary identifiers, analytics identifiers, or paywall data to AI providers.

Mirror Health will configure AI providers so that API inputs and outputs are not used to train general AI models unless you separately consent or we update this policy and applicable product notices. AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not medical diagnosis, a clinician, therapy, legal advice, emergency help, or crisis response.

Analytics, Paywalls, and Advertising

The website currently uses Vercel Web Analytics for basic site measurement and does not use website forms or advertising trackers. In the app, Mirror Health may use analytics for coarse funnel and reliability events. Those events must not include raw selfie images, selfie notes, chat text, crisis content, medical concern details, or freeform wellness answers.

Mirror Health may use Superwall or a similar paywall provider for subscription presentation and experiments. Paywall tools may receive only approved coarse placement parameters, such as screen, step, language bucket, health focus bucket, intent bucket, tone bucket, reminder cadence bucket, session length bucket, onboarding variant, offer variant, and entitlement status. They must not receive raw selfie images or freeform wellness notes or current season, support style, or practice mode buckets.

Mirror Health does not currently plan to use third-party advertising in the app. If cross-app tracking or targeted advertising is introduced, Mirror Health will update this policy, update App Store disclosures, and request any consent required by law or platform rules.

How We Share Information

  • Service providers that help operate the website, app, AI features, storage, purchases, support, diagnostics, security, and analytics.
  • Apple and App Store services for subscriptions, in-app purchases, refunds, and purchase restoration.
  • Parties you choose to authorize if a future sharing, export, or community feature asks for your direction.
  • Legal, safety, or security recipients when needed to comply with law, enforce terms, respond to legal process, or protect people and the service.
  • Successors in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate notice where required.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.

Retention

Mirror Health keeps personal information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, security, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons. Selfie check-ins, saved tips, and chat history are intended to remain under user control and be deleted when you use available deletion controls, subject to limited backup, legal, and security retention. Crisis content is intended to have minimal retention unless needed for safety, security, or legal reasons.

Security

Mirror Health uses technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, which may include Apple Data Protection, Keychain for secrets, TLS for network transport, private CloudKit databases for user-owned synced data, encrypted CloudKit fields where supported, access controls, redaction, and vendor review. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; withdraw consent; and appeal a denied request. You may also use an authorized agent where applicable law allows.

In the app, Mirror Health is planned to provide controls to delete check-in or chat history, change health focus, language, tone, and personalization preferences, disable reminders, and restore purchases. You may also send privacy requests to support@mirrorhealth.app. We may need information to verify your identity and process the request.

Children and Teens

Mirror Health is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and respond.

If Mirror Health knowingly offers AI companion or chat features to minors, the app is planned to include age-appropriate disclosures, safety protocols, and break reminders where required by law. Mirror Health does not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16.

International Users

Mirror Health is based in the United States or will be operated from the United States unless the launch notices say otherwise. If you use Mirror Health from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same data protection laws as your country.

For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and similar jurisdictions, Mirror Health relies on legal bases such as contract necessity, consent, explicit consent for special-category data where required, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and vital interests. Sensitive health-related information is processed only as needed for requested features, with appropriate safeguards and user controls. For users in Brazil, Mirror Health will honor applicable LGPD rights.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Mirror Health develops. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made. If changes materially affect app users, Mirror Health will provide additional notice where required.
